Tar O Mar TV Ad hero

This was a model we created a few years ago for one of our clients, Fouman Chimie Group. The brief was to create a very trustful and heroic look for the character which would be fun at the same time. These characters would eventually be used in a TV spot to promote their flying insect killer products.

The concept was created by Doheil Danesh Eshraghi and the character was modeled and textured by Ali Chenari in 3DMax and was then brought into XSI for shading and rendering.

The character is called TOM.

These are some of the other characters we created for the spot:

The Mosquito Boss

and the Mosquito Muscle Man ;-)
The Muscle Man has some work done in ZBrush particularly on the coat and parts of the skin.

Cartoon wolf with hair

This is part of a series we did a few months ago aimed at advancing our knowledge of hair and some other technical issues related to quadrupeds, while adding to our portfolio.

The series comprised a wolf, an owl, a bear and a gorilla. The concept designs were all done by Hamed Kamali and I was really impressed by the work he did for us.

The models were done in XSI by Reza Ramezani who also did the hair setup and most of the textures.

We also worked on some rigs for these animals, particularly for the gorilla and the wolf which were done by Adib Souly. Unfortunately due to other projects coming up we never got to finish all of them but the wolf was 90% finished.

I handled the shading, lighting and rendering in XSI and Fusion.

Reza Ramezani used several clusters to create the hairs from and although it gave us good results, it became rather tedious and we reached the conclusion that having less hair clusters was a plus.
